OT Training Solutions (OTTS) supported to the Army National Guard (ARNG) Soldier Training Support Program (STSP) at 13 sites throughout the continental United States and Hawaii.

Our staff of 44 Training Support Specialists and Senior Training Instructors/Subject Matter Experts (STI/SME) provided support to the Army National Guard’s (ARNG) Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) and Regional Virtual Training Program (RVTP) training and Range Training Land Program by conducting integrated logistical support, training support, virtual training and range land support for active United States Army, Army Reserve, National Guard, Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC), and other Department of Defense (DoD) and Federal Agencies.

Our primary focus was to assist the Training Support Centers (TSC) in providing the Soldier and Guardsman with the highest quality training to ensure their combat readiness. To accomplish this task, OTTS conducted TADSS exercise support and operational training on a wide variety of devices, including (but not limited to): Call For Fire Trainer (CFFT) III; Engagement Skills Trainer II (EST II); Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES); Javelin Basic Skills Trainer (BST) as well as Virtual Convoy Operations Trainer (VCOT); Operator Driver Simulator (ODS); High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) Egress Assistance Trainer (HEAT); Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) Egress Trainer (MET); Nuclear, Biological, Chemical Reconnaissance Vehicle (NBCRV) Table Top Trainer (TTT), Laser Marksmanship Training System (LMTS), , and the Tactical Combat Casualty Care Exportable (TC3X) medical training mannequin.

Our STI/SMEs provided train-the-trainer instruction and certification on TADSS devices, install and initialize simulators, and provide technical support during XCTC exercises. In a support role, they provided technical assistance to unit instructors and prepared Programs of Instruction (POI) suited for the ARNG and associated course material as needed.

The second element of this program was TSC support. Training Support Specialists (TSS) were responsible for operating TADSS and managing the daily operations of the TSC, to include the daily opening and closing of facilities, installation and setup of TADSS, daily preoperational and readiness checks, technical inspections, briefing students on safety and established POI, and shutdown procedures. TSSs provide technical instruction to students with detailed explanation, demonstration, and guidance on practical exercises while observing and evaluating their performance. TSSs also provided complete warehouse operations and oversight including property book management, incoming shipments, assembling and grouping items according to property class, condition, and type of transaction, and staging equipment as necessary within the warehouse to facilitate training support operations. TSSs were responsible for performing inventories, equipment testing, issuing and receiving equipment, and certifying users of equipment. They utilized the Training Support-Material Army-wide Tracking System (TS-MATS) to track inventory and maintain records on TADSS utilization and status, providing operational instruction on TS-MATS upon request. These warehouse operations are virtually identical to those outlined in the subject PWS paragraph 5.4, Warehouse Operations. TSC staff performed some fabrication work for graphic training aids (GTAs) and other items of that nature. For other items, such as MILES gear, our staff sent the item to the Army TADSS Maintenance Program (ATMP) depot for replacement or repair, as necessary.

This contract was awarded on a Friday and support for the ARNG began on Monday. OT Training Solutions rebadged and onboarded 44 FTEs in 48 hours over a weekend. Throughout the life of this contract, OTTS performed high quality services on a consistent basis, and our performance on this program was well-received by the customer.
